Do you know these lyrics?

It was a female gospel group in the late 80's early 90's. I thought the name of the group was Friends but whenever I go to find their cd nothing avails. If you know of them please your info would be much appreciated.
Another song is what I believe to be called "He Said He Would Be There."
The first verse goes: "In these times of tribulation when the world seems to be so cold. Don't lose your faith and don't be dismayed for the Lord has promised that he'd make a way. He said he would be there."

I don't know the lyrics to the first song but I believe it was by Dionne Warwick and Friends. She sang some of the lyrics and so did Gladys knight.
